Meet Our Team

Dan Shipman
Founder & Head Coach
Dan earned his degree in Exercise Science from Barry University. During his time at Barry University, he interned at IMG Academy working with high school baseball, tennis and golf players. After graduation he interned at the Performance Compound. While interning he worked hard and showed initiative, leading to him being asked to stay on as a Performance Coach. During the next few months he continued to progress with the company and showed great organizational and office skills. This led to him being asked to help the Performance Compound progress by becoming the Facility Director.

After working there for a few years, he started a family and wanted to be around more for his kids. He worked at a few smaller gyms until he opened Full Torque Fitness. Now he leads Full Torque Fitness and it’s team into the future of fitness for all.

Amber Pedersen
Isla Del Sol Manager & Coach
Amber’s interest in fitness began at an early age with strongest influences being from her father and a weight lifting class in high school. “I learned quickly: too much weight and poor form was not a good thing!” She was a scholarship athlete for the FGCU Women's Golf program, where she studied Criminal Forensics. Despite her initial training efforts, she never increased her driving distance.
Post college, she trained with a TPI Certified strength coach. That first day blew her mind and opened up her eyes to train better! She was hooked. She became an LPGA Class A Teaching Pro, TPI Certified and jumped at the opportunity to apprentice with the strength coach that first inspired her. “If I knew more about the body I could help my golfers get better faster. Holy life shift!” As a trainer she learned skills that helped her swing better, serve people more powerfully in the gym, and also build a more resilient body and mind for herself to take on life’s challenges.
In 2018 she became a coach at Full Torque Fitness and has been able to expand and explore her limits as a trainer and human ever since!

Missy Shipman
Member Experience Director & Coach
With a background as a cardiac and vascular ultrasound technologist, Missy began her career helping patients through detailed imaging and compassionate care. After years in the medical field, she made the choice to step away from the hospital and step fully into motherhood—dedicating her days to raising and homeschooling her 4 children. It was during that season of life that she discovered a deep appreciation for health and wellness, not just for herself but for her family as well.
What started as a personal pursuit for a healthier lifestyle evolved into a professional passion. She became a certified personal trainer with a mission to help others find strength, confidence, and vitality in their own lives. She is driven by a heart to serve, a desire to keep learning, and a belief that wellness is a journey—one that’s better when walked together. Tracie Pfenning
Coach
From a young age, movement has always been at the center of Tracie’s life. She began dancing at the age of four and went on to perform with the Northwest Performing Dance Company in Chicago. Her passion and talent led her to make multiple appearances with Disney—both in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile Light Parade and at Epcot in Orlando. She also served as a professional cheerleader for the Florida Everblades and shared her creativity as a choreographer for the Woodstock Opera House production of Into The Woods.
She studied dance at Columbia College Chicago, but a life-changing diagnosis shifted her path and opened the door to a new passion: fitness and nutrition. In 2015, Tracie found herself drawn to the world of bodybuilding, competing in eight shows within the National Physique Committee (NPC) and the National Gym Association (NGA). She earned her Pro Card with the NGA in 2020 and most recently received a Nationals Qualification with the NPC in 2025.
That competitive fire evolved into a desire to help others on their own health journeys. Tracie became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and continues to expand her knowledge by working alongside the team at Full Torque Fitness.
Today, her mission is simple: to help others feel their best—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Tracie’s energy, passion, and genuine care for people make her a motivating force in and out of the gym. For her, this isn’t just a job; it’s a calling that truly lights a fire within.
