Having the right workout equipment doesn’t mean you need an entire gym at home. In fact, some of the most effective tools are simple, versatile, and easy to use consistently.
These are some of our favorite pieces of equipment that we personally use in the gym and regularly recommend to clients for strength training, recovery, mobility, and overall movement quality.
Adjustable Dumbbells -
This may be the most versatile piece of equipment on the list. This adjustable dumbbell set covers weights from 3 to 24 pounds while taking up far less space than multiple pairs of dumbbells. We’ve used this brand in our gym for years, and it’s built to last—some of our sets have seen nearly eight years of heavy use and are still in great condition. On top of that, their customer service has been excellent whenever we’ve needed support.
Massage Gun -
Percussive therapy helps relax overworked muscles, improve tissue quality, and keep your body moving better so you can train and play consistently. This is the same one we have in the gym, and these days the prices have gone down considerably.
Woven Mini Bands -
Durable woven mini bands are perfect for warm-ups, corrective work, and strength training—helping reinforce proper movement patterns. This lasts a long time and has great resistance. They can be used for so many different exercises, and we use them all the time in the gym.
Suspension Trainer -
A suspension trainer uses body weight resistance to build strength, stability, and control while challenging the core through every movement. We've been using these for years. They are great for beginners to advanced. If you have a doorway, you can get a workout in.
Yoga Toes -
Yoga Toes help restore natural toe alignment, improve balance and foot function, and support healthier movement from the ground up—perfect for recovery, mobility, and long-term foot health. We tell people to wear them at night while they watch their favorite show. It will be hard to wear them longer than 30 minutes in the beginning. But many people have had great results just wearing these a little bit each night
Kneeling Pad -
Many exercises we do are from a kneeling position or a half-kneeling position. These pads keep our knees safe while allowing us to do everything from mobility to strength work.
